Working Class Heroes. Climate storytelling beyond the stereotype - With TED Countdown and the Sustainable Entertainment Alliance
***SOLD OUT***
Does climate change have a class accent? Not in reality, but too often in the media, it’s portrayed as a stereotypical middle-class concern
This session brings together storytellers who are reshaping the face of climate action.
The stakes are clear: if climate remains a middle-class project, it will struggle to secure a broad mandate. If it is grounded in the realities of everyday life across all communities, it stands a chance of becoming a shared adventure.
Speakers include:
Solitaire Townsend, Chief Solutionist & Co-Founder, Futerra
Angela Francis, Director of Policy Solutions at WWF
Gina Lyons, Comedian & Producer, Gobby Girl Productions
David Macpherson, Writer & Showrunner of Amazon Prime Video UK's 'green gothic' action thriller 'The Rig'.
Fehinti Balogun, Actor and Climate Activist
Mete Coban MBE, Deputy Mayor of London for Environment and Energy
