Lab Ops on Plastic Rocks: a Meet-Up for Life Science folks
Ever wanted to try climbing but haven't had anyone "show you the ropes"? (And yes, we know bouldering technically doesn't use ropes). Or maybe you’re already a seasoned climber looking to meet a few more peers in the local Lab Ops community?
Either way, you’re invited!
Join the Quartzy team and a small community of peers for an evening of low-pressure climbing, problem-solving, and unwinding. Lab ops is all about figuring out complex puzzles... which is exactly what bouldering is, just with a bit more chalk and fewer spreadsheets.

5:30 PM | Arrival & Gear Up.
5:45 PM | Bouldering & Hanging Out
7:00 PM | Post-Climb Drinks & Dinner
Gym day pass, gear rentals, food & drinks all on us!
🧗 Who Is This For?
All experience and fitness levels welcomed. At the end of the day, this night is entirely about getting our local Lab Ops community together to connect, swap stories, and unwind outside the lab.
🎒 What should I bring?
Just bring yourself and wear comfortable athletic clothes. We'll take care of the climbing passes, shoe rentals, and the food/drinks afterward.
Please note: This is space is strictly limited to keep the group tight-knit and conversational so registration is pending approval. If this first go goes well, we will continue to host other events!
