​Founders have dozens of rooms in this city. Fund managers have almost none.

​If you are raising Fund I, II or III right now, you already know the problem: LP conversations do not happen at conferences, they happen at tables. Warm introductions are rationed, re-ups are slower than they were two years ago, and the allocators who are actually deploying into managers are not the ones answering cold emails.

​And from the other side: if you allocate to funds, your inbound is a flood. Decks from managers you have never met, no context, no filter, no way to tell in thirty seconds whether this is a manager worth an hour.

​So we are setting one table where both problems solve each other.

​Ten to fifteen general partners. Ten to fifteen LPs, funds of funds and family offices. Seated, over dinner, above the Bay. Everyone in the room is either raising a fund or allocating to one.

​How the room is built

​Same principle as everything we do: we don't sell access, we assemble the room.

• ​GPs are screened. Fund stage, strategy, track record and whether the fund is genuinely in market. No first-time deck-stage ideas, no advisors representing managers who are not here.

• ​Allocators are verified. We check that the people listed as LPs, funds of funds and family offices actually allocate to managers – and roughly what size and stage they write.

• ​Balanced by design. We hold the ratio close to one to one, so nobody sits at a table where they are outnumbered five to one by people who want their money.

​We are hosting the evening with Werqwise, at their flagship at the base of Telegraph Hill on Sansome. The dinner is on the rooftop deck – Bay views, a fire pit, and the kind of space where a table of thirty still feels like one conversation rather than a reception.
