Welcome to a special Liv Longevity Community Event dedicated to gut health and the science of your microbiome.
We are taking the community on a field trip. Hop on the S-Bahn at Ostkreuz, ride 35 minutes straight out of the city, and step inside the BIOMES laboratory — where gut microbiome samples arrive, get sequenced, and become the personalized health insights you see on your phone.
This evening, the founder of BIOMES Dr. Paul Hammer walks us through all of it, in person, in the lab.

Dr. Paul Hammer, PhD is the founder and CEO of BIOMES. He holds a doctorate in systems biology and bioinformatics and spent years conducting research at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin before founding BIOMES in 2017. He brings deep scientific expertise in microbiome analysis, DNA sequencing, and the practical translation of gut health data into everyday nutrition and lifestyle decisions.
