A Special Screening Of Light On A Hill & PUPPY LOVE Tails of the City
Two Films. One Conversation.
An Afternoon of Documentary Storytelling, Community & Connection
Join filmmakers Myles Matsuno and Lulu Men for a special screening of two short documentaries exploring the power of community, compassion, and human connection.
🎬 LIGHT ON A HILL (29 min)
Directed by Myles Matsuno
A heartfelt documentary about Fair Oaks Burger, a beloved neighborhood restaurant whose impact extends far beyond the food it serves. A story of generosity, resilience, and the extraordinary power of an everyday community gathering place.
🐾 PUPPY LOVE: Tails of the City (29 min)
Directed by Lulu Men
Fresh off its world premiere at the 2026 Tallgrass Film Festival, PUPPY LOVE follows four New York City dogs and their humans as they navigate adoption, behavioral challenges, separation anxiety, and loss. An intimate love letter to the transformative bond between dogs and the people who love them.
Two different stories. One shared belief: compassion can transform lives.
Following the screenings, Myles and Lulu will sit down for an informal, conversational Q&A, the stories behind their films, and the communities that inspired them. Audience questions are warmly welcomed!
