Virtual Bal Panchayat: Meet the Children Who Are Changing Their Village

Rakshera, a village in Haryana’s Yamuna belt, faces deep-rooted social and economic challenges, with limited spaces for children to play, learn and grow. But what happens when children decide that things can be different?

Through their Bal Panchayat, a group of young people is raising demands, challenging gender barriers, and working with local leaders to create the village they want to grow up in. From making space for girls to play Kabaddi to taking their concerns to the Gram Panchayat, hear directly from these young leaders about their journey, the challenges they've faced and their vision of a child-friendly village.

This is a conversation about what becomes possible when children aren't just heard, but are trusted to lead.
