East vs West in Therapy — A Peer Circle for Mental Health Practitioners

Therapy was largely built in one cultural context and exported to the world. But what happens when the model meets a mind shaped by different values, family structures, or ways of understanding suffering?

In this peer circle, we'll work through a mock case together — looking at it through both an eastern and western therapeutic lens. Where do the approaches converge? Where do they diverge? And what does that mean for how we actually show up with our clients? We will also tackle the topic of fees and how to bring up these conversations with your clients.

This is not a lecture. There are no right answers. It's a small group conversation between practitioners who are willing to think out loud and an expert to guide us through.

What to expect:

  • A mock case as the starting point.

  • Open discussion across therapeutic lenses and modalities.

  • A small group — you'll know who you're talking to

  • 60–90 minutes, 25 July at 11am CET

Who it's for:

Early to mid career mental health practitioners — therapists, counsellors, psychologists, clinical social workers, and trainees.
