About Event

Three storytellers from Chicago, Cape Town, and Kingston were commissioned to create new short films exclusively on the new iPhone 17. Join us for the global premiere of these pieces at Today at Apple: Brave Futures | Memory as Medicine.

This special edition of Brave Futures will celebrate Black creative futures, spotlight regionally rooted narratives, and expand access to mobile-first filmmaking through community screenings and a talk back with the storytellers: Kin Marie (USA), Jabu Nadia Newman (South Africa), and Rraine Hanson (Jamaica).

Brave Futures is a global film incubator that challenges emerging creatives to tell bold stories under the constraints of time, place, and tools—often using iPhones as their primary camera. Since its launch, the program has produced over 40 short films and mobilized 300+ artists across the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and Africa, building community while elevating intersectional storytelling.

Please RSVP here to Save the Date. Registrants will receive the official free ticket link once available.
