Reading Group & Discussion: Symbiotic Alignment via Collective Predictive Coding
We'll be reading and discussing: Symbiotic Alignment via Collective Predictive Coding
About this paper:
The authors argue that the dominant alignment paradigm (RLHF, top-down control) can't address the emergent collective dynamics of human–AI ecosystems.
They propose symbiotic alignment: instead of humans controlling AI, both co-evolve through mutual adaptation. Diversity of worldviews isn't a problem to solve, it's a stable state the system should maintain.
