Join us for an evening of poker, food, drinks, and good company with the Lunar Accel community! Whether you're completely new to poker or an experienced player, everyone is welcome.
We'll have two tables running throughout the evening, catering to different experience levels:
♠️ Beginner Table — $0.10/$0.20 Blinds ($20 Buy-in)
Never played poker before? No problem! Learn Texas Hold'em from a current poker instructor at a quantitative trading firm. We'll cover the rules, fundamentals, and basic strategy in a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment. No prior experience necessary!
♥️ Experienced Table — $1/$2 Blinds ($200 Buy-in)
Already know your way around a poker table? Join our higher-stakes cash game for some friendly competition and an opportunity to connect with fellow Lunar Accel members.
Event Details
Format: No-Limit Texas Hold'em cash games
Tables: Two, separated by experience level
Food & Drinks: Snacks and refreshments provided throughout the evening
Refreshments: Suggested $20 voluntary contribution per attendee to help cover food and drinks. Contributions are entirely optional and are not required to attend or participate in poker.
Poker Buy-ins: $20 for the beginner table or $200 for the experienced table. All poker buy-ins are handled separately from refreshments, with no rake or organizer fees.

About the co-hosts:
Ethan is a quant trader at Susquehanna International Group (SIG), working on the equity options desk. He grew up in Long Island, and graduated from Princeton University with an applied mathematics degree. In his free time, he enjoys exploring bars with friends, falling off V3s at Vital, and vibe-coding with Claude.
Jasper is currently co-founder of a startup in the capital markets infrastructure space, in addition to founding Lunar Accel. He previously spent time at Point72 and Amazon. Outside of work, he is an avid tennis player and watcher, peaking at top 100 USTA Northern CA as a 12-year-old (and hasn't recovered since). Jasper is from San Jose, CA and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science.
