Inward — Weekly Online Gathering
"The times are urgent; let us slow down." — Bayo Akomolafe
Most of us are very good at holding it all together, moving fast, staying on top of things. Inward is a weekly invitation to do the opposite: to pause, breathe, and listen to what the body has been trying to say.
Inward is a community embodiment practice, a place where we surface and awaken more of our creative capacities, together. Working with the body through breath, sound and movement, we attune to the subtle energies that want to move through us, and express them in ways we may not realise we can. Together we journey inward, and bring back what we find.
What happens in 90 minutes
A journey inward. Alex guides you through breath into a meditative state, held by a carefully curated sound journey. You lie down, close your eyes and follow.
Space for what you feel. The body carries what words often can't reach. Here, whatever surfaces is welcome.
From feeling to expression. Afterwards, a short practice of free writing, letting the pen move without stopping to think, so what surfaced can find its way onto the page.
Not alone. Something shifts when we do this work together. You'll be part of a small circle meeting every week.
"Whether in a group or one to one, Alex takes you on a powerful, eye-opening journey inward. My heart is open more of the time. I am less reactive, more present with my children and family. My creativity is flowing effortlessly." — Morgan Portman, artist
From Alex
I've been practising and teaching body-mind healing systems for over a decade, across contemplative practice, depth psychology, rites of passage and somatic work. Inward is built to gently unwind the subconscious patterns and conditioning we carry, help your nervous system find its way back to balance, and safely release what's been held in the body, the small hurts and the bigger ones, that may be limiting how freely you live, love and lead.
I guide this work one to one, on retreats, for organisations and at large events, and I'm always amazed by how people respond. I practised it on my own for many years, then guided it online every week for 70 weeks before becoming a father. Now I'm excited to relaunch it, and I'd love to share it with you.
"Alex is one of the most radical practitioners I know, bringing real healing work, including breathwork, to corporate leaders." — Amy Fox, CEO, Mobius Executive Leadership
