About Event

A philosophical conversation about privacy, surveillance and the right to be left alone.

Does privacy still matter if you’ve done nothing wrong? Doorbell cameras film the sidewalk. Loyalty cards remember every purchase. Phones keep track of where we go, and ads seem to know what we were just talking about. From Jeremy Bentham’s all-seeing prison to today’s data economy, join us to talk about what privacy means now, and where it’s heading.

♦ Is it true that people who have done nothing wrong have nothing to fear from being watched?
♦ Is it reasonable to give up some privacy for more safety or convenience? Where should the line be?
♦ Will the next 20 years bring more privacy or less?

No preparation needed. Just bring your experience, your opinion and an open mind.

You are welcome to attend even if you are not currently a member. Two options - Join. Only $15 per year. Join by going to https://lu.ma/icg. Or be our guest - Guest Pass available at https://intelconversation.com/#guestpass
