JETRO X Catalyst: Japanese Delegation Networking Event at Catalyst 137
On October 9, 2025, Catalyst 137 and JETRO Toronto will co-host a small networking event for a delegation of Japanese companies visiting the Waterloo region. Participating Japanese companies include Fujitsu, Nabtesco, NGK Insulators, Horiba, Mitsubishi, Toyota Tsusho and Okaya.
The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a Japanese government-related trade, investment and innovation promotion agency under the Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry (METI).
JETRO's Toronto has recruited this mission of Japanese companies to visit Toronto during the week of Elevate and has organized a number of site visits and events, including a visit to the Kitchener-Waterloo region. They are here to get more connected into Canada's innovation ecosystem including to invest and/or partner with Canadian startups to co-develop new technology under their open innovation mandates.
