this is the next workshop in our series creating intentional spaces, containers for exchanging resources, and forums for collaborative ideas.
Are you exceedingly overwhelmed by the political landscape lately? Perhaps you’re oscillating between anger and numbness. Or it might all feel confusing, and with uncertain meaning. Let’s unwind this moment together, to look at current events through a lens that distinguishes political chaos from system bedrock shifts. We will be moving into empowering everyone to make the changes that we can, in the ways that work for each of our unique lives, embedded in the communities we already have.
for this event, we will reflect on queering the vote as the prepare for the 2024 Mayoral election. We are so excited to bring in new collaborators Gays for Zohran & presenter Jaiden Smithson!
together, we will unpack the the f@scist political context we are living within, what we can do about it and how we can mobilize our communities to show up for Zohran Mamdani at the polls.🫶🏽🫶🏽
we will nurture an on-going conversation that will evolve into a collective resource that can be shared with our communities, or a communal art project/toolkit on the multifaceted aspects of holistic harm reduction 🧚🏆⚖️

Gays for Zohran is volunteer and supporter led, organizing and igniting LGBTQ+ voters in support of the Zohran Mamdani for NYC Campaign, connecting people with resources, elevating queer voices, and celebrating Zohran’s support and policies for queer and trans communities. We strongly support Zohran’s platform on affordability and acknowledge that building “a city we can afford” is crucial for queer communities to survive and thrive. It’s critical now more than ever for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers to be seen and heard in the progressive movement and the political arena. Gays for Zohran is excited to help make that happen.
