ΗΛΙΟΔΩΡΟΝ — As above so below, As inwards, so outwards’ An Exploration Through Movement Workshop led by Ira Fostiropoulou
AN EXPLORATION THROUGH MOVEMENT WORKSHOP
"What if the way we move through our lives is reflected in the way we move through our bodies? And what if by observing, bringing awareness and gradually changing the way we move, we can change the way we experience life?
This workshop is an exploration of the relationship between body, breath, movement and the patterns through which we experience and navigate the world.
“As above, so below” is a phrase coming from a combination of ancient Greek and Egyptian philosophical traditions and means that there is an interconnection and interdependence of all planes of existence: from the divine cosmos down to the human consciousness and physical experience.
“As inwards, so outwards” implies that what happens on a spiritual and mental level, manifests in the physical world: our internal state mirrors our external reality. The body becomes a place of observation and experimentation - not something to fix, but something to listen to. We will be invited to cultivate our curiosity.
How do I move?
How do I breathe?
How do I respond to new information and new proposals?
What do I habitually repeat?
What do I avoid?
What are my restrictions, my resistances and how do I feel about them?
And what becomes possible when I experiment with moving differently?
This workshop is created to honor “Ηλιόδωρον” project where we all celebrate the five-year anniversary of Despina Vergidi Studio. It’s a common celebration of common values: of female entrepreneurship, of personal commitment, of choosing mindful living, of tuning into energy that nurtures us, of observing and listening to our wise inner voice, of receiving the joy of being together and of the power of creating with an open heart."
Workshop duration: 1 hour
This workshop is free of charge.
For all “Ηλιόδωρον” project visitors we will offer a discount code for our future classes and workshops.
