Occasians - Ramadan Iftar at Bintang Restaurant
Join us for a special evening as we gather to break fast together during Ramadan. Muslims and non-Muslims welcome!
Occasians is hosting a community Iftar at Bintang Restaurant, London’s best halal Filipino restaurant. For this event, Bintang will be offering their set menu at a special discounted price exclusively for our guests.
This event brings together London’s Creative Asian community for an evening of great food and genuine connections this Ramadan.
MENU FOR OUR EVENT
Starters:
BINTANG CHICKEN WINGS - Carabao/ Calamansi honey / BBQ Adobo
LUMPIANG SHANGHAI - Beef mince spring rolls, sweet and spicy sauce stew with pak choi, green beans, aubergine
PAPAYA SALAD - Papaya, green beans, dried shrimp, peanuts, fish sauce
Mains:
OAK SMOKED CHICKEN INASAL - 1/2 hen on the bone & boneless thigh Marinated with lemongrass, ginger, soy, and chargrilled
OXTAIL KARE-KARE - Braised in a peanut and fermented shrimp stew with pak choi, green beans, aubergine
FILIPINO LAMB RENDANG - Slow-cooked lamb, coconut lemongrass curry
Do not threat, rice is included.
Food will be served Asian-style, with shared plates so you can enjoy a variety of dishes that Bintang has to offer. Drinks and desserts will have to be paid extra on the day.
Whether you’re observing Ramadan or simply curious to experience Iftar, everyone is welcome.
Expect a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where you can meet new people, enjoy halal Filipino food, and connect with others in the creative community.
We’ll also be raising money during the evening for the British Bangla Welfare Trust.
