The Future of Healthcare: A Novel Solution to the Broken Sickcare System

Innovators in functional foods, wellness, functional medicine, and digital health can revolutionize our badly broken healthcare system in the US. Meanwhile, our default healthcare system keeps growing and sucking money out the economy. What’s happening, and how can we fix it? This talk is a proposal for a new model for a healthcare economy that can support our most important innovators and fix American health.
It’s a new policy proposal for how America can promote long and healthy lives, an idea that’s being circulated amongst MAHA policy groups, insurance companies and digital health advocates.
The new approach is called "Lifespan", and will be presented by Aneil Mallavarapu. Please come for a lively discussion about how we can work together to improve health for all.
We will be holding a collaborative discussion following the presentation to get feedback and expand on the model presented.
PRESENTERS
Aneil Mallavarapu
Aneil is a VC, entrepreneur, and scientist who runs Humain Ventures with Linea Avey, the founder of 23andMe. Aneil won awards for his work at Harvard Systems Biology department and was recognized for innovations which were part of historic biotech deals during the Human Genome era, and has built companies.
Linea Avey
Linea Avey is the co-founder of 23andMe, and a partner at Humain Ventures. She is a member of the Stanford Medical School board of fellows, an advisor to Colossal Biosciences (Texas’ first decacorn), a board member of the Human Immune Project, was on the founding board of Rock Health, the first digital health incubator, Verily, Alphabet’s Life Science company, and involved with several other notable companies.
Aneil and Linea will lead a discussion on Lifespan and opportunities for change in health and wellness.
