WahlheYmat Talks – Political role models
Politicians with migration history - perspectives and experiences
Together with the Stiftung Zukunft Berlin, we invite you to a special edition of WahlheYmat Talks focused on political participation, representation, and the future of Berlin as an international city.
At the center of the discussion are members of the Berlin House of Representatives with their own migration histories — people who chose to enter politics and actively shape the future of this city. We will talk about their experiences, responsibilities, motivations, and what Berlin can learn from a changing and increasingly diverse society.
We have invited three politicians with migration histories who are helping shape Berlin’s political landscape:
Pilar Caballero Alvarez – Member of the Executive Board of Die Linke Berlin and candidate for the Berlin House of Representatives in Reinickendorf
Ülker Radziwill – Member of the Berlin House of Representatives (SPD)
Aldona Niemczyk – Member of the Berlin House of Representatives (CDU)
Tuba Bozkurt – Member of the Berlin House of Representatives (Green Party)
🎙Moderation: Li Tianjue
🗣 The discussion will primarily take place in English, contributions in German are also welcome.
Entry is free. Everyone who is interested in shaping Berlin and making the city even better is warmly welcome.
