Founders Alliance: The Field – Squaw Peak Hike (Provo, UT)
Welcome to Founders Alliance: The Field. If The Forge is where we sharpen the tools, The Field is where we build the trust. These sessions get us out of the boardroom and onto the trail, fostering the deep relational bonds that make our "Board of Directors" mindset possible.
We believe that some of the best founder conversations happen when we’re moving. This month, we’re hitting the trail up Squaw Peak in Provo to get outdoors, push the pace, and talk shop with a view.
The Objective
To step away from the spreadsheets and screens to connect as leaders. The Field is about active camaraderie, shared experiences, and open-ended conversation that strengthens the foundation of our Alliance.
The Format
The Activity: Morning hike up Squaw Peak (7 miles round trip total).
The Flow: Conversational pace. Perfect for catching up on recent Hot Seats, discussing current bottlenecks, or diving deeper into personal goals while we climb.
The Flexibility: Go at your own pace. You don't have to do the full 7 miles. If you can only hike part of the way due to time or schedule, that is 100% fine. Come out, get some fresh air, connect with the group, and turn back whenever you need to.
The Environment: High-energy, outdoors, and unplugged.
Trail Details & What to Bring:
Distance: ~7 miles round trip.
Terrain: Expect a steady incline with loose dirt and rocks in sections—good trail shoes or sturdy sneakers are a must.
Hydration & Fuel: Bring at least 1–2 liters of water and a quick snack.
Layers: Mornings on the mountain can start cool and warm up fast as we move, so dress in layers.
Commitment to the Alliance
The Field is just as vital as The Forge. Our collective strength is built on the relationships we forge outside the boardroom. We show up for each other, regardless of the setting.
See you at the trailhead!
