Generosity, Culture, and the Systems GrandMothers Build
Around the world, grandmothers have always been at the heart of community life. They feed neighbours, raise children who are not their own, keep traditions alive and organise when others won't. Grandmothers are not on the margins of generosity. They lead it.
This Generosity Week, we're inviting communities everywhere to follow their lead.
Join GivingTuesday and the Grandmother Collective for a one-hour conversation on how grandmothers can take part in Generosity Week and how the people and organizations around them can too. Generosity Week runs for five days, from GivingTuesday on 1 December to International Volunteer Day on 5 December.
In this session, you will:
Hear what grandmother-led generosity looks like in practice, from people doing this work
Discover simple ways to take part: host an activity, partner, honour a grandmother or sign up
Leave with one clear next step, and the support to act on it
Who should join:
Grandmothers and grandmother-led groups
Organisations working with older women and families
Young people who want to honour, or work alongside, a grandmother
GivingTuesday leaders, partners and anyone who believes in intergenerational generosity
Free to attend · Online via Zoom
