With bio queen realness, high camp, and good-old-fashioned physical comedy, West is on full display. In a time where people's rights are moving backward, this show highlights the queen of the comeback! Hollywood’s Hays code was invented for Mae West (we’ll explain in the show) and despite constant censorship, blacklists, and ageism, West championed visibility for women, gay men, black performers, and most of all, herself. Expect controlled hysterical chaos.
About the Creators: Wendi Wynazz is an award-winning physical theatre artist who aspires to make the world more fabulous through comedy and deep art. Based in the Bay Area & NYC (she's bicoastal b*tch), Wendi has been seen on the stages of America’s Got Talent, SF Sketchfest, and Cirque Du Soleil’s parking lot. She's extremely delighted to be the recipient of the San Francisco Comedienne of the Year award. Her “Fail Happy” clown workshops frequently sell out to everyone ready to celebrate the misstep.
