Mahjong After Dark (MAD) is a mahjong night for people who want to play, make new friends, and have a good time.
we’re taking over the downstairs of a hong kong-themed karaoke lounge for a night of mahjong, live DJs, drink specials, and–just for mid autumn–a special dessert pop-up with The Asian Dessert Lady!
for the not-too-sweet dessert lovers 🥣
The Asian Dessert Lady makes nostalgic traditional chinese desserts using organic and local ingredients. her grass jelly is made completely from scratch using organic mesona leaves sourced from taiwan (this is the only of place you'll find it made the traditional way outside of asia).
she'll be serving up two dessert options throughout the night (while supplies last):
fresh grass jelly served with chinese pearl barley + seasonal fruit
creamy coconut jello with black sticky rice + seasonal fruit
preorder a dessert for $7 with your ticket or $9 if purchased at the event.
there will be a question to select a dessert option at checkout. quantities will be limited day-of
what to expect:
7PM-8PM: beginner hour
8PM–11PM: open play, dessert pop-up, and live DJs
when tables are full, you can decide:
king-of-the-table rules (winner stays on, everyone else switches out)
OR
everyone switches out after 2 games
light snacks provided
20% off club drinks for attendees
all levels welcome. beginners, regulars, and everyone in between.

a quick note: we will be capturing photos and videos throughout the event. we love showcasing these gatherings and sharing the energy of our community but if you'd rather not be on camera just let one of the hosts or the photographer know.
