​As a career changer herself, Carolyn moved into cyber security 10 years ago and thinks it is a great career option for people looking at making a change and taking advantage of their transferable career skills.

​About Carolyn Yates

​​Carolyn is a qualified security professional having moved into cyber security following a varied career as a chartered mechanical engineer. Leading after-school clubs in maths and computing sparked her interest in cyber security and teaching. This ultimately led to her career change.  

​She has extensive experience of cyber security auditing, training and consultancy in a range of sectors including education,​ technology, finance and manufacturing.
