About Event

Join NPCA for a guided hike at Santa Susana Pass State Historic Park and explore a beautiful landscape that might one day be part of our National Park system.  Learn about this hidden gem in the “Rim of the Valley” that offers breathtaking views of the LA Basin and how preserving spaces like it are critical to protecting local wildlife, preventing wildfires, sequestering carbon and supporting public health.

The 90-minute hike will discuss the vital role these natural spaces play in climate resilience and biodiversity preservation, and participants will learn how they can be advocates for the proposed Rim of Valley expansion of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with nature and support conservation efforts in our community.

Make sure to pack a reusable water bottle, wear shoes you are comfortable hiking in and bring the good vibes.
