An Evening with Syra Madad and Jacob Glanville
Join MCBcDNA for a conversation with Syra Madad, Chief Biopreparedness Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals, and Jacob Glanville, CEO and President of Centivax.
Syra is an infectious disease epidemiologist specializing in outbreak preparedness, emergency response, and biosecurity. She has helped lead responses to major infectious disease threats, including Ebola and COVID-19. Jacob is a biotechnology entrepreneur developing next-generation vaccines and antibody therapeutics, including broad-spectrum approaches to preventing and treating infectious diseases. He previously founded Distributed Bio, which was acquired by Charles River Laboratories in 2020.
During this evening, we'll explore pandemic preparedness, the science behind next-generation vaccines and therapeutics, and the challenges of responding to emerging infectious disease threats. We'll also discuss how scientific innovation, biotechnology entrepreneurship, and public health collaboration can help protect against future pandemics.
