Pachamama Day Mini Retreat: Ceremony & Celebration
A Celebration of Gratitude and Reciprocity
Every year, The Q'ero Paqos (Spiritual Teachers & Healers of the high Andes in Peru) celebrate the Festival of Mother Earth. This is a day for resting, making a big offering to Pachamama in gratitude for all they have received, and recommitting to their work, activities, and plans for the coming year.
I spent several years as an initiate to these ways and am inviting others to share this ceremony, practice, and celebration with me!
Our gathering will include:
An Energy Cleansing Ceremony (hoochapampachaquy)
A Healing Meditation (saminchaquy & sawaychaquy)
A Nature Offering (hawariquy; crafted together with intentions, prayers, leaves, flowers, and foods for the fire)
An Embodied Earth Movement Practice
A Floating Sound Immersion
A Community Potluck
A Fire Ceremony
The Q'ero have a prophecy that the Paqos will come down off the mountains to teach the people to return to right relationship with the earth. In being initiated into these ways, we have a responsibility to share this wisdom to help the people heal our relationship with the earth, with all of nature, within ourselves, and with each other.
This evening experience will give each person the opportunity to release all the heaviness you've been carrying, receive new energy, insight, and support for your year ahead, and connect more deeply to the commitments you are ready to carry forward.
In ayni, or sacred reciprocity, we make our offering and give it to the fire, with so much love and gratitude to Pachamama in honor of all the blessings we have received and everything that is coming to us in the year ahead.
We also share celebration and connection with each other, through our practice, our time, and our intentions, and a community meal.
