​In this session, I’ll walk you through what it really takes to get into tech as a UX Researcher, even if you’re coming from a nontraditional background or feel like you’re starting behind. We’ll break down what UX Research actually is, what skills matter most, how to position transferable experience, and what steps you should focus on first so you stop wasting time guessing.

​We’ll also cover how to build credibility when you do not have direct UX Research experience yet, how to think about portfolio projects and case studies, what hiring teams are actually looking for, and how to make yourself easier to bet on in a crowded market.
