Python Optimization Workshop by Adam Johnson
Join Adam Johnson for a small workshop on optimizing Python code.
We’ll look at how to profile Python programs using cProfile, profiling-explorer, and tprof, and how to use that information to find worthwhile performance improvements.
You’ll then have a chance to try the process yourself, either in Django, another open-source project, or your own code.
The workshop is for intermediate and experienced Python developers. Django experience is useful but not required, and you don’t need any previous profiling experience.
The group will be kept small so there’s plenty of time to work through things together and ask questions.
As places are limited and the workshop is free, registration requests will be reviewed before places are confirmed. We’ll ask a short question about what you’re hoping to get from the workshop to help make sure it’s a good fit.
