About Event

This talk will help align your diet with the different phases of your running and marathon training cycle. Learn straightforward strategies for how to plan meals that match your workload with the unique physiological demands of each phase.

Lindsay will provide evidence-based tips to ensure optimal fueling, hydration, recovery and performance throughout training and on race day. We’ll dive into the nutritional focus of each phase (base/ build/ taper/ race/ recovery) and you’ll get a 1-day sample meal plan for each phase!

About the speaker: Lindsay Orbeta, MS,RD,CSSD is the Sports Dietitian for the UCSF Sports Medicine Center. She is a lifelong athlete who specializes in performance nutrition, body composition and metabolic health. Formerly a competitive Ironman triathlete- turned NorCalsurfer, Lindsay now enjoys trail running and weight training.
