Future Film: Making Work That Breaks Through
This week at Future Film, we’re screening work from our community that’s breaking through, earning major recognition, and helping the filmmakers behind it land jobs and new professional opportunities.
Daniel Berman has just been added to Escape.ai’s highly curated roster of AI artists, where his page now features a selection of his work. We’ll screen The Art of Brian Lapinski. Brian will join Daniel to talk about how the collaboration came together, and Daniel will also catch us up on the other work and opportunities developing around his AI practice.
Daniel Gould will screen Off Camera, his AI short built out of the world he knew from years producing unscripted television. It’s been screening at AI festivals in New York and was also selected by Escape.ai. Daniel also just started a job as a producer with Publicis, one of the biggest names in global advertising, and he says his AI work played a pivotal role in getting him hired. We’ll hear how he made the film and how the skills and body of work he’s been building have become part of his next professional opportunity.
And we’ll wrap up with P-Jay Fidler and The Hallucination Station. P-Jay couldn’t join us for the Q&A when we screened his HAL’s Dream Challenge film, so he’s coming back to finally talk about how he made it and answer our questions.
For professional editors and filmmakers building with Gen AI, this is a chance to see what breakthrough work looks like, learn how it gets made, and hear how these skills are translating into recognition, paid work, and jobs.
Come learn how to make work that breaks through and build skills that can get you hired.
