​Description

​If you live, work, play, go to school, shop in the Fruitvale neighborhood, join this rolling tour (by bike, skate, or scoot) hosted by Walk Oakland Bike Oakland.

​Oakland's Department of Transportation (OakDOT) will repave a network of neighborhood streets in the Fruitvale neighborhood in 2028. As part of repaving, OakDOT will add safety improvements. Visit the Calm Fruitvale Streets webpage for more details.

​During the tour, we will view where traffic safety improvements can be implemented. Come roll with us and share your ideas! Refreshments will be provided at the end of the tour.

​Spanish interpretation will be available.

​RSVP is recommended but not required.

​Details

​-We will be rolling on the Calm Fruitvale Streets route starting and ending at Carmen Flores Rec Center.

​-The tour is about 4 miles total, and we will stop frequently to discuss safety improvements.

​-Participants under age 15 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older. Families are welcome!

​-Helmets are recommended!

​Si vive, trabaja, juega, va a la escuela, compra en el vecindario de Fruitvale, únase a este recorrido sobre ruedas (en bicicleta, patineta o scooter) organizado por Walk Oakland Bike Oakland.

​El Departamento de Transporte de Oakland (OakDOT) repavimentará una red de calles del vecindario en Fruitvale en 2028. Como parte del repavimentado, OakDOT incluirá mejoras de seguridad. Visite la página web de las Calles tranquilas de Fruitvale para obtener más información.

​-Estaremos rodando sobre las calles tranquilas de Fruitvale, comenzando y terminando en Carmen Flores Rec Center.
