​Filmmaker Maxi Cohen has been deeply embedded in the ayahuascero traditions since the 1980’s, long before Michael Pollan or the FDA had anything to say about it. The Ayahuasca Diaries documentary, Maxi's latest film on this plant medicine subject, is a deeply intimate storytelling of the Indigenous groups using this sacred medicine, and the potential path forward to global stewardship of the Amazon.
