Post Summit Onsen

​Unwind after Summit II with an evening at the onsen at THE RISE OSAKA UNIVERSAL BAYSIDE. There are hot baths, a sauna and a cold plunge, with views over Osaka Bay.

​Meeting point: 18:30 outside the main entrance of THE RISE OSAKA UNIVERSAL BAYSIDE.

​Station to get to: JR Ajikawaguchi (安治川口) on the JR Yumesaki Line, one stop before Universal City. From there it’s about a 5 minute walk east.

• ​The station has one exit, on the post office side. Cross the railway at the level crossing to reach the hotel.

• ​Freight trains can keep the crossing closed for a while, so allow 5 to 10 extra minutes.

​From Osaka (about 15 min): take the JR Yumesaki Line from Osaka Station to Ajikawaguchi. Some trains run direct, and the rest need a change at Nishikujō. Leave by about 18:00.

​From Sannomiya (about 45 min): take the JR Special Rapid to Osaka (about 21 min), then follow the Osaka directions. Leave by about 17:35.

​Cost:

• ​Entry: ¥1100

• ​Towel rental: ¥300, or bring your own.

• ​Tattoos: Need to cover, ¥150 per sheet or bring your own

​Good to know:

• ​Baths are separate for men and women, and you bathe without a swimsuit.

• ​Wash at the showers before you get in, and keep your towel out of the water.

• ​There are few shops near the hotel, so grab snacks or drinks at the konbini by the station.
