What to expect
An acknowledgement and welcoming of the Ancestors and Spirits present
Drum and play music; offer flowers/tokens to the altar
Naming intention for a home and community space
Light incense and/or candles to mark the declaration
Tree planting
All of us will contribute to planting a tree that symbolizes the relationship between the home & land, and the new community
The Invitation to Participants
Contribute your light to the Ceremony by bringing:
Your delight, curiosity, and a comfy pair of slippers
Your own intention for the ceremony
A small offering (flower, poem, candle, symbol) that represents your intention, dreams or hopes for this space
Dinner (7:00 to 8:30) For those of you who are staying for dinner, this is a potluck event. Please bring some food to share.
