Join us for a 2-day implementation science methods workshop featuring visiting faculty member Geoffrey Curran, PhD, MA, from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Curran is a nationally recognized leader in implementation science and the lead author of seminal articles on effectiveness-implementation hybrid studies and hybrid trials. Co-sponsored by the Dissemination and Implementation Science Core (DISC) of the Utah Clinical and Translational Research Institute (CTSI) and the IMPACT Program (Integrating Medicine & Policy to Achieve Health Care Transformation).
Day 1: Introduction to Hybrid Studies and Emphasis on Type 1

Dr. Curran will provide an overview of implementation science and the place of effectiveness-implementation hybrid studies in the field. Then he will cover Hybrid Type 1 studies, with a special emphasis on their application to those leading pragmatic clinical trials.

Dr. Curran and JD Smith, PhD, MA, will host an interactive discussion on the design and application of Hybrid Type 2 and Type 3 studies. In-person and Zoom attendance options are available, with a recording provided afterward. We highly encourage in-person attendance.
