Bengaluru’s very own celebration of books, ideas, and stories, the Bangalore Literature Festival has been bringing together readers, writers, and the endlessly curious since 2012.
Free and open to all, we have grown to become one of India’s most loved lit fests—and the country’s largest community/citizen-funded one at that!
Literature sessions that make you rethink the world, C|L|F spaces for children, arts and culture performances, LitMart and ScreenLit for budding authors and screenwriters, a buzzing bookstore, book prizes and so much more.
Now gearing up for the 14th edition on December 6–7, 2025 at a new venue, Freedom Park, the festival promises yet another unforgettable weekend where Bengaluru comes alive with words.
Festival Fine Print (the friendly kind!)
By registering for the Bangalore Literature Festival, you agree to the following.
I am registering voluntarily to attend the 14th edition of the Festival.
I understand that attending a public, outdoor event involves some risks, and I am in good enough health to attend.
I take full responsibility for my own safety. The organisers are not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, or other issues that may occur.
If needed, I agree to receive first aid or emergency medical help arranged by the organisers, and I will cover any hospital or treatment costs myself.
I allow the organisers and media to use my photo, name, or voice for Festival promotion. Note: If you spot an image of yourself on our social media that you’d rather not have up, just let us know and we’ll take it down.
I understand that the organisers may postpone, cancel, or stop the event if needed (bad weather, safety reasons, or other situations beyond their control).
I understand that bag and security checks will be conducted at the entry. The organisers may deny entry if items are unsafe or not permitted.
Prohibited items include alcohol, drugs, weapons, glass bottles, or anything that could cause harm.
I am responsible for my personal belongings. The organisers are not liable for lost or stolen items.
I will keep the venue clean and dispose of waste responsibly.
I consent to receive email updates and newsletters from the Festival.
The organisers may refuse entry or remove anyone who is disruptive or unsafe.
All event-related decisions of the organisers are final.
Registering for and/or attending the Bangalore Literature Festival implies that the above statements have been fully read, understood and agreed to.
