About Event

Welcome to Hike Clerb Run Clerb!

This summer, we’re inviting our community into the joy of trail running.

Powered by Altra running and rooted in care, this beginner-centered program is designed for those curious to build a new relationship with movement, nature, and themselves -- all within supportive community.

Together, we’ll explore local trails, build confidence on varied terrain, learn foundational trail running practices, and redefine what endurance, joy, and connection can look like outdoors.

Our first meeting will be a 2-mile loop on the wide, flat trails of Malibu Creek State Park. This event is for registered participants only.

This experience centers BIPOC health and well-being.

TRAIL DETAILS:

Length - ~2 miles

Elevation gain - 82 feet

Route type - Loop

Run time - 1 hour

Difficulty: Easy

If you want to download the route in advance, you can download it here on All Trails (plus membership required) or here on Strava. Neither is required as we will have pacers and will be staying in eyesight of each other. This is a no-drop run! There are no dogs allowed on these trails.

This trail is alongside a creek and at a location with a swimming hole, if you want to swim or dip afterward, bring a change of clothes so you can return home dry!

ABOUT YOUR RUN GUIDE: FAITH & MIREILLE

Faith (she/her) i is a documentary director, creative producer and podcast host passionate about sharing contemporary stories that widen the spectrum of representation and help us all see our own possibilities.  Her running life started on the track at 400m and has led her to running trails in the Alps and the Andes. Her favorite feelings are between sun on skin and warm mud oozing between bare toes. She is grateful for the life changing knowledge of literary grandmothers including Audre Lorde, bell hooks, Zora Neale Hurston, & Toni Cade Bambara. Faith believes deeply in the need for green spaces for mental health and healthier communities. Faith

is also the Partnerships Manager & Sprouts Community Director at Hike Clerb

Mireille Siné (she/her) is a USATF-certified run coach, lupus endurance athlete, and the founder of Coached By Mireille, a virtual run coaching practice specializing in athletes managing autoimmune conditions and chronic illness. A 14-time marathoner and ultramarathoner, Mireille believes that movement is medicine, and that access to knowledgeable, affirming coaching should not depend on whether your body fits a standard mold. She’s honored to co-lead this trail run series with Hike Clerb and to help create space for our community to heal, connect, and move through nature together.
