Founders Night at SMU: A Conversation with Rogers Healy
Four times a year, Dallas Founders Club brings the whole community into one room. This is that event.
A conversation with Rogers Healy
Rogers' story starts at SMU, so it felt right to bring this one to campus, in partnership with the Spears Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
From SMU, he built The Rogers Healy Companies into one of the largest independently owned real estate firms in the country before its acquisition by Compass. Now he's on the other side of the table as a partner at Morrison Seger Venture Capital Partners, backing the next wave of Texas founders.
We'll sit down for a conversation with Rogers to talk through the full arc: building the firm, selling it, and what he looks for now as an investor. This won't be an auditorium-style lecture, but an intimate conversation followed by founder Q&A.
The rest of the night
The conversation is the anchor, not the whole event. The real value of a DFC gathering is the room: real founders meeting real founders, unhurried, no agenda beyond getting to know who else is building here. Several founders have found business partners or struck deals at past events.
Heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and parking on Bishop Boulevard included. Must be 21 years of age with valid I.D. to attend.
On tickets
We curate an intimate room, which means tickets are limited. Past events have sold out, so grab yours early. We'll move to a waitlist once the room is full.
Every registration is reviewed before approval. If you know a founder who'd be a genuine fit for this room, pass it along.
Who this is for: Founders.
Who this is not for: Service providers, consultants, fractional execs, agencies, coaches, or anyone whose business model is selling to founders. We have nothing against what you do, but this isn't the room for it. Our founders come here to connect with other founders, not to be prospected. We take this seriously and it's a big part of what makes DFC different.
One exception specific to this event: two "Lead the Toast" spots for industry supporters who want to back the event. Includes two tickets, one minute at the mic. This is the only path for non-founders to attend; standard tickets are reserved for founders.
