About Event
Confidential advocates are often among the first people individuals turn to after experiencing discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, or other forms of harm. This one-hour virtual session provides a practical overview of the role of confidential advocacy, the distinction between confidential and mandatory reporting, and how confidential resources work alongside Title IX, HR, ADA, student conduct, and other institutional offices. Participants will gain a clear understanding of legal and ethical considerations, referral practices, and strategies for building trust while supporting a coordinated, survivor-centered institutional response.
