Danish Defense Tech Week: Copenhagen | European Defense: Adapt or Fall Behind
How must Europe's military, industry, and innovation ecosystem adapt as new technologies change the way wars are fought?
As part of Danish Defense Tech Week 2026, Defense Innovation Highway brings its national Defense Tech Meetup series to Copenhagen for a closing event focused on the future of European defense – from military adaptation and emerging technologies to industrial cooperation and investment.
Drawing on Ukraine's operational experience and Denmark's strengths in technology, research, and industry, the discussion will explore how developments in AI, autonomous systems, drones, electronic warfare, and other emerging technologies are changing military operations – and what Europe needs to do to accelerate adoption, adapt its defense capabilities, and strengthen cooperation between the military, industry, and technology companies.
The Ukrainian delegation joins Danish Defense Tech Week in partnership with IRON Cluster, a Ukrainian defense-tech cluster.
The program features expert perspectives and a moderated discussion with military professionals, technology leaders, industry representatives, investors, and policymakers, followed by introductions to selected Danish and Ukrainian startups working with AI and autonomy.
The afternoon combines insights from Ukraine with an opportunity to meet selected Danish and Ukrainian startups, as well as Ukraine Military, creating connections between innovators, potential customers, industrial partners and investors.

Participation is free, but capacity is limited. Registrations are reviewed by the organizers, and submitting a registration does not automatically guarantee admission.
For security considerations, the venue will be shared with confirmed participants closer to the event.
A valid photo ID matching the name used for registration will be required for entry.

Danish Defense Tech Week takes place from November 5–12, 2026, across Aalborg, Aarhus, Odense, and Copenhagen.
Led by Defense Innovation Highway (DIH) and European Defense Tech Hub (EDTH), the week connects Denmark’s defense innovation ecosystem with operational experience from Ukraine through a series of summits, meetups, deep dives, and partner-led activities.
