​Join us for a special Figma Make-for-Good holiday session, where Aaron will walk through the real workflows, tools, and thinking behind Planet Food - the product which was recently featured on Figma’s Blog (Shortcut) and built entirely in Figma Make.

​About the Event:
​This is a hands-on, community-focused session for designers, builders, and anyone who wants to create something meaningful. You’ll see how ideas move quickly from concept to real product using Figma Make, plus practical techniques I use every week.
​All proceeds raised will be donated to Union Gospel Mission’s Christmas Dinner in Vancouver, helping provide hot meals, care, and support to people experiencing homelessness and hardship during the holidays.
​What We Will Be Building
Create a lightweight notepad app that instantly captures ideas through text, images, or voice, then curates and emails your best ideas every morning.
Stack we’ll use:
Figma Make, Supabase, OpenAI APIs, and Resend.
Schedule (1:00 PM - 4:00 PM)
​1:00 PM - Welcome and context. Quick intro, why we’re doing Make-for-Good this holiday, what we’re building, and how the session will work.
​1:15 PM - Walkthrough from idea to app. We’ll frame the problem, outline the notepad app flow (text, image, voice), and talk through how I scope and move quickly when building real products.
​1:35 PM - Hands-on build time. Everyone builds in Figma Make while I build the app live alongside you. I’ll walk around, answer questions, unblock people, and give 1:1 help as you work.
​3:30 PM - Show and tell plus Q&A. Optional demos, open questions on Figma workflows, product thinking, and building fast.
​3:50 PM - Wrap-up and giving back. How proceeds are being donated to Union Gospel Mission, where to share what you built, and final thank-you's.
