About Event

Van-Techies is a social group for techy/tech-adjacent folks in Vancouver! We want to meet and spend time with folks who share our passion for working with tech, whether that's software, hardware, or anything in between. Please come with the intention of communicating collaboratively and making space for everyone to share.

This meetup will include two talks by Shiv Vij (Loophole Labs) and Neil Kandalgaonkar.

Shiv will discuss his new project, which is focused on privacy preservation, VPNs, and cryptography.

Neil will either discuss how he accidentally cost the software industry a billion dollars or his word game solver written in Rust and called boxchar.

Van Techies October will take place in a meeting room organized by Shiv (Loophole Labs). To get in, you may need to buzz or contact Shiv/Carl on Discord.
