#30 Lady's Lab: What If Rest Was Part of the Work?
The Lady's Lab
Real conversations. No masks. No gatekeeping.
A bi-weekly facilitated space to think things through with women who understand the reality of the work.
Not a class. Not a workshop. No hierarchy. No fixing. No performance.
Just thoughtful conversations in the messy middle of leadership, creativity and change.
This Session:
What If Rest Was Part of the Work?
Redesigning Work Around the Natural Cycles of Life with Moulsari Jain
Most of us have learned to treat rest as something we earn.
We rest after the deadline, after the launch, after everyone else has been taken care of. And even then, we often carry the quiet feeling that we should be doing something more useful.
But what if rest was not the opposite of work?
What if it was part of how we think, create, lead and sustain our contribution over time?
In this Lady’s Lab, social innovation artist and systems designer Moulsari Jain invites us to explore Rest to Harvest, her radical proposal for redesigning work around the natural cycles of life.
Together, we will turn towards the needs we have learned to neglect and ask what they might reveal about the rhythms our work and lives actually require.
Through reflection, vulnerable exchange and shared inquiry, we will explore where we are pushing through, what our bodies and inner lives may already be telling us, and how doing less could allow something more honest and sustainable to emerge.
This is a session for women who are tired of treating themselves as the problem inside systems built around constant productivity.
For women who are navigating change, carrying too much, or quietly wondering:
What would become possible if I stopped overriding my own needs?
You’ll leave with a clearer sense of the rhythm you need now—and one small way to begin designing your work around life, rather than asking your life to keep bending around work.
