About Event

Join us on for a special edition of the Berlin Collage Club (BCC) art workshops, inspired by the Taiwanese novel "Taiwan Travelogue" by author Yáng Shuāng-zǐ, which won this year's International Booker Prize.

BCC is teaming up with the East Asian Arts and Culture venue P60 and Impressions Taiwan for this event!

Who Should Come

This workshop is open to everyone, who is interested in collage. Feel free to join us if you haven't read the book and are curious about Taiwan and East Asia.

For people who have read the book, come visualize your take what resonated the most with you/interested you in the book, from Taiwan’s history and culture, food, people, colonial relations with Japan, or the queer romance.

Workshop Overview

Participants are welcome to make fan zines of the book, an imaginary book cover, collage postcards, or A4 sized artwork. We will curate vintage Taiwan imagery for you to work with, in addition to our regular images!

We will also curate a music playlist of Taiwanese and Chinese oldies for the workshop, which we'll play during the event.

Ticket and Payment Info

30 € ticket/covers includes all collage materials and art supplies. Our event venue P60 will serve Taiwanese breakfast tea during our event (3 € suggested donation).
