About Event

The First 15 Minutes · C - Circulation

The blood pressure looks reassuring. Is the circulation?

This session tackles the second C in C–ABCDE: circulation. We’ll explore how blood reaches the tissues, what happens when that process fails and how to recognise shock before the numbers make it obvious.

We’ll explore:

  • Assessing perfusion using the whole clinical picture.

  • Understanding the different mechanisms of shock and why the cause changes your approach.

  • The principles behind fluids, blood products, reassessment and urgent escalation.

For medical students who want to move beyond reading a blood pressure and start understanding the patient’s circulation.
