About Event

Is AI the greatest threat that music has ever encountered, or is it the most powerful instrument ever invented?

Join us for a live Creative Frontiers Session from the Abundance Institute with Elmo Lovano (JammCard), Mark Thomas (Splice), John Hardin (Abundance Institute), and producer Nick Chen to go behind the scenes and explore how AI is showing up in music today and what it means for creators.

You’ll also get a live preview of Splice’s latest project, which pairs AI-powered music tools with a model designed to compensate creators.

This is a curated SXSW gathering for Austin’s artists, founders, investors, and policy leaders who are eager to build what’s next.

Schedule
6:00 PM — Doors open, food from La Pera, open bar
7:00 PM — Panel, live demo, Q+A
8:00 PM — Continued drinks, snacks, community

About Creative Frontiers
A new technological era in music is unfolding, fast and full of promise. Yet the ground remains uneven, with fresh tools, fuzzy rules, and open questions about authenticity, consent, and credit. The Abundance Institute’s Creative Frontiers Sessions bring together artists, builders, and policy shapers to chart tomorrow through live demos, candid conversations, and practical ways to make the most of what’s next on the frontiers of creativity.
