About Event

The Feminist Book Club is a space to read boldly, think critically, and build community through stories that challenge power and expand possibility.

The evening will open with a poetry reading by Vianney Harelly.

We are kicking off the year with Reservoir Bitches by Dahlia de la Cerda, a raw and unflinching collection of short stories centered on women navigating survival, violence, and resistance under failed systems.

Set in Mexico and told through sharp, unapologetic voices, Reservoir Bitches confronts class inequality, patriarchy, and state violence while centering women who are constantly pushed to the margins. Together, we will discuss how feminist literature helps us better understand the world we are living in and imagine the one we are fighting to create.

If you have not read the book, you are more than welcome to join. This gathering will also introduce the goals and vision of the Feminist Book Club for 2026. We invite readers, writers, organizers, and community members to come learn, listen, and be part of an ongoing collective reading practice.

This Feminist Book Club event is presented in collaboration with Feminist Press and Repro Uncensored and hosted by Skylight Books.
