What's in a name? We can call it a "job" or "entrepreneurship", "freelancing" or "volunteering", finally it is "work".
Come join us for a discussion around how to cope with the transition between different types of work we do in life.
Learn about the Commons Hub Brussels (CHB) and discuss about how it can be the place where you can do your best work transition and eventually become your boss.

The audience
We aim to bring together people and organizations to debate on which are the struggles and the opportunities when transitioning between different types of work during our life: from a job to entrepreneurship or volunteering, from volunteering to a job or entrepreneurship.
The main organizations and individuals contacted will be in the area of job inclusion and mentoring as Duo for a Job, Team4You, Smart Brussels, ACTIRIS or HR agencies.
What does our best work mean to us? How CHB can help people with their transition period. We aim to create synergies and strategies together that can develop into actions. Among CHB members and coworkers, you will find many IT workers specially from open source software and AI Safety communities.
If you cannot attend on the 4th of October, please let us know if there is anything about your organization that we can share during this event and that we can use to prepare a next event.
Inspiration
An original idea about co-working opale came from Christopher Franzen, who launched it under the name Hoffice (short for Home Office). The principle is to combine connection between participants, an environment conducive to individual productivity, and the use of an inspiring space. We draw inspiration from the "teal" values of Spiral Dynamics: emergence, authenticity, deep connection, a holistic and self-learning approach, and more.
Facilitation:
This session will be facilitated by two members the Commons Hub Brussels community: of the co-workers: Gabriela Sotirca (IT project manager and open source enthusiast) and Alain Vereecke (IT analyst and scrum master).
Event fee: Free
This open session is organized in collaboration with the ASBL Commons Hub Brussels as part of the Commons Open Dag (VL-BR) and the Journée Découverte Entreprises (WL-BX) on the 4th of October Weekend.
