Join us for an exciting virtual showcase celebrating the first Lab2Market Validate Ontario cohort. Each team will deliver a fast-paced, story-driven presentation that highlights the problem they set out to solve, how they explored its commercial potential, and the insights they gained along the way.
With support from Mitacs, expert mentors, and the team at YSpace, these innovators pushed their research beyond the lab and into real-world conversations. Now they are ready to share their journey and the decisions that lie ahead.

About Lab2Market Validate
The Lab2Market Validate program is a four-month program that provides research teams, consisting of a graduate student and their faculty supervisor, with the opportunity to evaluate the commercial potential of their technology through a structured, data-driven market research process with $10,000 in funding to support the journey.
As an academic partner, YSpace, a division of the Office of Research and Innovation at York University, will deliver the Ontario cohort of the Lab2Market Validate program in partnership with Lab2Market, a national initiative that helps brilliant minds in graduate programs and postdoctoral programs reimagine their futures.

YSpace is York University’s pan-university entrepreneurship and innovation hub supporting startups and entrepreneurs from a variety of sectors and communities. Our programming spans across scaling innovative technologies through customer and investor capital to scaling agri-food businesses into mass retail to diversity-focused initiatives like ELLA for women-led businesses and in partnership with Black Entrepreneurship Alliance (BEA) for Black-led businesses. We are also home to two physical hubs in the City of Markham and the Town of Georgina.
