About Event

Join us for “Landscape in Resonance,” the 2026 Stanford Baipu Chinese Music Ensemble Concert—an evening where the expressive depth of Chinese music meets fresh, contemporary imagination. Inspired by sweeping landscapes, journeys in motion, and the rhythms of the natural world, the program moves from the sonorous power of full ensemble works to the intimacy of chamber and solo performances.

Featuring a rich palette of traditional instruments such as the guzheng, erhu, and dizi, alongside cello and piano, the concert unfolds through vivid musical scenes: the thunder of galloping horses, the glow of a setting sun over a vast river, the flutter of butterflies, and the quiet radiance of blooming azaleas. Rooted in tradition yet animated by modern arrangements, the program brings together original compositions, beloved melodies, and East-meets-West collaborations to create a sound world that is at once lyrical, vibrant, and deeply evocative.

Through intricate melodies and layered textures, our musicians invite you into a resonant landscape shaped by memory, movement, and poetic expression.

Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. We kindly recommend planning your visit in advance to ensure a comfortable experience.
